What does the event site look like?

Where can I shower?

Public showers are available a short distance from Keith King Memorial Park (Start/Finish Area) in the Town of Golden.

The Golden Swimming Pool is a beautiful outdoor pool facility. Public swim drop in is $5 and showers are $2. The pool also has a free kid’s splash pad for family fun. Check their website for public swim hours and operational hours. Hours are 11 AM to 7 PM.

What size is my camping area?

  • There are a 10’x10′ camping/pit areas for tents.

  • Teams receive a 40’x30′ pit/camping area.  There are no vehicles allowed in this area.

  • RV/camper/trailer parking will be in a lot adjacent to the start/finish area. There are no hook-ups in this lot.

How do I reserve a spot for my RV/Camper/Trailer?

RV sites can be booked when you register for $25/site.  If you would prefer to park your RV in a campground, please refer to the Tourism Golden website.

Move In/Move Out and Driving Privileges

Move in takes place on the Friday before the race, from 10AM to 10PM.

Moving vehicles In and Out of the event start/finish area and camping areas between is not recommended durning the event because the road crosses the race course. If, for some reason it is required to move a vehicle during this time, please contact a TransRockies staff member to ensure that the race course crossing is clear of participants.

Are there washrooms?

Porta-Potties will be on site.

Where can I get water?

Access to water will be available on site, but you must have your own containers.
