Peet Shoe Dryers return as a TransRockies sponsor in 2011
TransRockies is proud to announce PEET Dryer will return a sponsor of the TransRockies in 2011. As the official supplier of shoe dryers, Peet will help ensure riders start each day with dry footwear regardless of whatever weather the Rockies conjure up each day. PEET and the TransRockies will set up a shoe drying station at each finish line where riders can drop off their shoes to get them dry and ready for the next day’s ride.

“With water crossings and unpredictable mountain weather, wet shoes are an unavoidable part of the TransRockies,” said event director Aaron McConnell. “Having dry shoes to put on every morning is something which can make a huge comfort difference over the course of the TransRockies and we’re very excited to have PEET back onboard so that we can offer this great service to our riders.”
Along with capacity to dry many pairs of shoes at once using Peet Advantage multi-pair shoe dryers, the TransRockies will also have Peet Hydration Dryers on site to get hydration packs ready for the next day’s racing. Peet will be providing prizing for podium teams and riders on one stage of the race. Winners will receive Peet dryers as part of their prize!
About PEET Dryer: PEET Dryer was founded in 1968 in St. Maries, Idaho, where inventor and sportsman Gene Peet developed the very first footwear dryer. He did it because he simply got fed up with waking up to soggy boots – and the discomfort that put his feet through. After making a bunch of his dryers to satisfy pleading friends and relatives, Gene decided that his invention was worth starting a business, to share his enjoyment of “PEET® Dry” comfort with everyone.
