2012 Athlete Transportation Program

The GORE-TEX® TransRockies Run is a unique epic adventure designed to be fully supported from the start-line in Buena Vista to the finish in Beaver Creek. Our tent villages provide an intimate atmosphere and a great community feel throughout the six days of the TransRockies Run (or 3-day RUN3). Since the beginning, some of our customers have asked how they can enjoy the same great trail-running experience, complete with group meals and a fantastic post-race expo and entertainment, but with more flexibility in terms of their accommodation options. We’ve listened, and are proud to introduce our Extended Transportation Plan.

The extended transportation plan (ETP) offers new options to our runners to stay in local hotels throughout the race, or to be more easily self-supported with their own vehicle. Our ETP will provide van transport from hotels to breakfast and the start, from the finish to hotels, and from the finish back to the start. The ETP includes either separate bag transport for those staying in hotels, or a vehicle parking pass for the duration of the event for those self-supporting with a vehicle. Only one ETP package would be required for a team self-supporting with a vehicle.

ETP Hotels must be within town limits of designated communities.
To locate your ETP shuttle driver, check in at the race office.
You will be required to meet the ETP shuttle at pre-appointed times for hotel pick-ups
